In The Kitchen With Elloise
Today Caitlin and I made Bruschetta. This was the first time I had ever made or tried Bruschetta so I was very excited. Firstly we cut up our chery tomatoes into quaters and then halved our boccancini. After the ingredients were organised we toasted one side of our small turkish breadrolls untill they turned golden brown. Once we were satisfied with the way the bread had toasted, we took it out of the grill and rubbed one clove of peeled garlic on one side of the bread along with a teaspoon of extra-virgin olove oil per side. The next step was to spread a teaspoon of sun-dried tomato paste onto the un-toasted side and add our toppings - cherry tomatoes, boccancini, salt, pepper and basil. We could add as much or as little of each topping inngrediant we wanted depending on which flavour we preferred, disliked or how much of a flavour we wanted to taste. The last part of the procedure was to put our Bruschetta into a container to take home.
The clean-up for me worked reasonably well as many people helped by taking on the responsibility of one role covering everyones items they used. For example, I washed up everyone's utensilis, while Caitlin dried up everyones utensils and Charlotte wiped down all the benches along with Mariah. Although some people were not contributing very well.
Overall I thought Caitlin and I worked very well together to make the Bruschetta and we helped each other out were needed. I was very happy with the taste of what I made and I would not change anything I did the next time I make and prepare this meal.
